Stanton in Peak provides the main venue for meetings of the Parish Council at its Village Hall. It provides The Green as a recreation area with children’s play equipment in the centre and an area used by the community for events during the year. It also provides several grit bins on the narrow roads and a noticeboard. Stanton Open Gardens is the main outdoor event each year in early June.

There is a church, village primary school and pub – the Flying Childers, a cricket club and a vibrant social life run by the Stanton in Peak Events Group. SNAIL is a local publication delivered door to door and the village has its own website.
